Body Wounds “When Your Horse Tries DIY Body Modification…”
From fence kisses to tree fights, body wounds can look worse than they are… or be far deeper than they appear on first glance.
Your plan:
• Cold hose, cold hose, cold hose! The solution to pollution is dilution.
• Apply firm pressure if bleeding.
• Avoid ointments until I’ve had a look — clean is better than colourful!
• Snap photos for triage (super helpful for assessing urgency).
• A light rug or fly mask can keep flies away. A sanitary pad on the inside makes a great clean barrier to protect the wound.
If you can see fat, muscle, or anything gaping, it probably needs stitches — and sooner is always better.
Video: remember this guy?? He healed beautifully! but as many of you know i stick my finger in to see how deep and where it goes! This one i was wearing gloves but maybe should have taken my watch off.
