Welcome to Equestrian Style (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using this website and any member or business features, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These Terms apply to:
Visitors browsing the site
Members using the Members Area and My Stable
Businesses/Advertisers using the Business Portal, directory listings, events, advertising and other tools

1) Definitions
Member: a registered user with access to member features.
Business Account: a registered business/advertiser user with access to business features.
My Stable: the member area where you can manage horse profiles, results, photos, notes and more.
Listing: a directory/business listing (“Places”), event listing, or marketplace listing created on the site.
Product: an item published by a business that links to an external website for purchase (buy direct).
Content: anything uploaded, posted or submitted (text, photos, listings, messages, reviews, comments, results).
Packages/Plans: business tiers (including free and paid levels) that may include listing limits, product limits and banner ads.
2) Who can use the site
You must be at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian’s consent) to create an account. You must provide accurate information and keep your account details up to date.
We may refuse registration, suspend accounts, or remove content at our discretion, particularly where we suspect misuse, false information, or policy breaches.
3) Accounts, logins, and security
You are responsible for:
keeping your login details secure
all activity under your account
notifying us if you suspect unauthorised access
We may reset or suspend accounts where we believe security has been compromised.
4) Member features and rules
Members may access features such as:
My Stable tabs (About, My Horses, My Results, My Events, Photo Gallery, Messages, Bookmarks, Notes, Transfer)
horse profiles and photos
performance/result tracking
private messaging and community interactions
bookmarking and saving content
Member obligations:
You must only upload content you own or have permission to use.
You must not post misleading information, impersonate others, or harass any user.
You must not upload content that is unlawful, hateful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or infringes rights.
Transfer (horse profiles):
If you use the Transfer feature, you must ensure you are authorised to transfer that profile. Transfers are intended for legitimate changes such as sale/lease/management change. We may reverse transfers or suspend access if misuse is suspected.
5) Business accounts, portal access, and separation from member accounts
Business accounts use the Business Portal and related tools. Business users must not attempt to access or use member-only areas where restricted (for example, marketplace areas that are members-only).
Business features may include:
creating and managing Business Listings (Places)
creating and managing Events
publishing Products that link to external sites
uploading a banner ad if included in your package
upgrading packages
6) Packages, upgrades, and limits
Business packages may include limits such as:
number of business listings permitted
number of events permitted
number of products permitted
banner ad entitlement (typically one banner per account unless stated otherwise)
Limits are enforced based on your current package/role. If you upgrade your package, new limits may apply immediately once payment is confirmed (where relevant).
If your package is downgraded or expires (where applicable), we may:
restrict creation of new content above your limit
hide or pause banners and features included only in higher tiers
require you to upgrade again to regain access
7) Listings, events and marketplace content rules
When you create a listing/event/marketplace post, you agree that:
the information is accurate and not misleading
you have the right to publish any logos, images, descriptions, and branding
you will not publish prohibited products/services, scams, or unlawful content
you will comply with any relevant laws and industry obligations
We may edit, hide, or remove any listing or content that breaches these Terms or creates risk for users.
8) Products with external “buy direct” links
Some products published on Equestrian Style may link to external websites for purchase.
Important: We do not process those external purchases, payments, shipping, returns, warranties, or disputes. Those are between the buyer and the external seller. We are not responsible for:
product quality, availability, delivery times, or stock
pricing changes on external sites
refund/return decisions made by external sellers
any loss arising from external transactions
9) Banner advertising
Business packages may include banner advertising placements on the site.
Your banner must comply with our content rules (no misleading claims, prohibited content, or unsafe material).
You grant us the right to display your banner across the agreed zones while your entitlement remains active.
If your banner expires, is removed, or you are not eligible, we may display a “house ad” or default advertisement instead.
We may remove or pause banners at our discretion if they breach these Terms or create legal or reputational risk.
10) Payments, refunds, and Australian Consumer Law
Where payments apply, all prices are shown in AUD unless stated otherwise.
Refunds (if any) are handled according to our posted policy and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer guarantees you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
11) Reviews, comments, and community content
Members may be able to review or comment on businesses and events.
Reviews must be honest, relevant and lawful.
You must not post fake reviews, malicious content, or defamatory claims.
We may remove reviews or comments that breach these Terms.
12) Your content, licences, and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you create or upload.
By submitting content to Equestrian Style, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
host, store, reproduce, display and distribute your content on the site
format or resize images to suit layouts
promote site content (for example, showcasing listings, events, or community posts)
You must not upload content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, or other rights.
All site design, branding, and platform functionality are owned by us (or our licensors) and cannot be copied or reused without permission.
13) Acceptable use
You must not:
attempt to access restricted areas, admin functions, or other users’ accounts
scrape data or harvest emails/messages
upload malware or attempt to disrupt the site
use the site to spam, scam, or mislead users
use the site in any way that could harm people, animals, or property
We may suspend or terminate accounts involved in prohibited conduct.
14) Safety and equestrian disclaimer
Equestrian activities involve risk. Content on this site is general information only and may include personal opinions.
You are responsible for your own decisions and safety, including:
training, riding, handling, transporting, and caring for horses
attending events and dealing with other users/businesses
verifying businesses, services, and claims before engaging them
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from:
reliance on site content
interactions between users
attendance at events
services provided by third parties
(Where liability cannot be excluded under law, it is limited to the minimum extent permitted.)

16) Suspension, termination, and content removal
We may suspend or terminate your account or remove content if:

you misuse features (including Transfer, messaging, listings, or products)

You may request account closure by contacting us, subject to any legal retention requirements.
17) Changes to the site and Terms
We may update features, packages, or these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
18) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia (unless you prefer a different state), and you submit to the jurisdiction of its courts.
