Advertising Policy
Advertising Policy
Last updated: 24th February, 2026
This Advertising Policy applies to businesses and advertisers using Equestrian Style advertising features, including:
-
Banner ads included in business packages
-
Business listings and event listings that function as promotional content
-
Product listings with external “buy direct” links
-
Any paid or promotional placements shown on the site
Our aim is to keep advertising relevant, safe, and suitable for the equestrian community.
1) Who can advertise
Advertising features are available to eligible business accounts. Access and placements depend on your current package level.
We may refuse or remove advertising at our discretion to protect users and the site.
2) Banner ads included with packages
Some paid business packages include one banner ad per account (unless stated otherwise).
Banner ads may appear in designated zones (for example: directory, events, marketplace sidebars).
If your package changes, expires, or is downgraded, your banner may be paused or removed from rotation.
If a zone has no eligible advertiser banners, a default “house ad” may be shown.
3) Banner specifications (recommended)
Unless otherwise stated, please follow these guidelines:
-
File type: JPG, PNG, or WebP
-
Clear text and legible branding
-
Keep important text away from the edges (mobile cropping happens)
-
Link URL must be a valid destination you control (or an approved listing page)
We may resize or compress images to suit site layouts.
4) What you can include (allowed)
-
Equestrian products, services, events and businesses
-
Local services (vets, farriers, coaches, transport, feed, saddlery, photographers, etc.)
-
Competitions, clinics, workshops, shows
-
Legitimate online retailers and brands
-
Special offers (must be truthful and not misleading)
5) What you cannot advertise (prohibited)
We do not allow ads or listings that include:
-
Illegal goods or services
-
Misleading claims, scams, or deceptive pricing
-
Adult or explicit content
-
Hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory content
-
Malware, phishing, or suspicious links
-
Counterfeit goods or trademark infringement
-
Dangerous or irresponsible “advice” (for humans or horses)
-
Any content that puts horses, people, or property at risk
We may also restrict advertising for categories that create higher legal/safety risk, even if legal.
6) External links and “buy direct” products
Some products or ads may link to external sites. You are responsible for:
-
the accuracy of pricing and availability
-
shipping and returns
-
customer service and disputes
-
compliance with consumer law and advertising standards
We are not responsible for external transactions.
7) Approval, moderation and removal
We may review ads, listings or products before or after they go live.
We can edit, pause, reject or remove advertising content at any time if it:
-
breaches this policy or our Terms
-
generates user complaints
-
creates legal/safety risk
-
contains broken or suspicious links
Repeated breaches may result in account suspension.
8) Placement, rotation and reporting
-
Banner ads rotate within their zone based on availability.
-
We do not guarantee impressions, clicks, or sales.
-
We may provide basic reporting in future, but it is not guaranteed unless explicitly offered.
9) Trademark and copyright
You must own or have permission to use:
-
logos
-
photos
-
brand assets
-
written descriptions
Do not use other businesses’ branding in a misleading way.
