The Taree Show is an annual community tradition held on the second weekend of October at the Taree Showgrounds. Organised by the Manning River Agricultural & Horticultural Society, it showcases the region’s agricultural heritage through livestock competitions, local produce, and entertainment.
The Society is currently preparing for the 2026 Taree Show, with registrations now open for competitions like the Taree Young Woman and Junior Showgirl.
The show typically includes:
- Livestock & Judging: Dairy and beef cattle judging, poultry exhibits, and dog shows.
- Competitions: Woodchopping, chainsaw events, and the Young Farmer’s Challenge.
- Family Fun: Carnival rides, side shows, an animal nursery, and reptile displays.
- Arts & Produce: Dedicated pavilions for cooking, handicrafts, photography, and local fruit and vegetable displays.
