We’ve arrived!
After all the anticipation and the travel, it was such a good feeling to finally arrive at Sydney Royal and get both Gee and Angelo settled in.
There’s always a sense of relief once you’re here and everything starts to fall into place. Unloading, setting up the stable, getting all the gear organised, and making sure they’re comfortable and happy always comes first.
Seeing everything we packed — from rugs to tack and all the little details we carefully planned — finally set up in one place really brings it all to life. Our Equestrian Style setup, with pieces from Earlwood Equine, Ippico, and Hampton and Harlow, looks right at home here.
The finishing touches, with the logo by Flying Change Productions and embroidery by Wear It, make it feel even more special seeing it all set up in the stable.
Gee walked off the float like he’d done it a hundred times before — curious, bright, and taking everything in with that little spark that makes him who he is.
Angelo, as always, was pure class. Calm, composed, and completely unfazed — just quietly stepping into the moment like he belongs here.
Watching them both settle, heads down, relaxed and content, is the moment it all hits… we’re really here.
We’re also staying in the loft right above the stables — five days fully immersed in the Sydney Royal bubble, living and breathing every second of it. Waking up to them, being right here in the heart of it all… it’s something pretty special.
As members of the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales, we’re also really looking forward to watching the ring events from the comfort of the members’ stand — taking it all in from a different perspective and soaking up everything this show has to offer.
There’s an incredible atmosphere around the grounds. You can feel the energy building, the anticipation in the air, and the sense that something special is about to unfold.
Standing here now, after all the work, the early mornings, the planning, and the journey to get here… it’s hard not to feel a little emotional. Mostly, just incredibly proud and deeply grateful.
Now it’s time to settle in, let Gee and Angelo relax, and truly take in every moment of this experience.
